Moët Debuts New Drink to Rival Honey Deuce at US Open

Moët’s new drink for the US Open is serving serious competition to the Honey Deuce. The Honey Deuce has long been the official signature drink of the tournament. World-class tennis is happening, but there are also famous little honeydew melon “tennis balls” floating in vodka-spiked raspberry lemonade. For a lot of fans, that drink is basically part of the ticket price.
I’ve personally waited upward of 45 minutes for a Honey Deuce, because nothing says “I love tennis” like standing in line long enough to miss half a set for a cocktail in a souvenir cup. But this year, the Honey Deuce may have a little competition in the lineup. Moët Chandon, the Official Champagne of the US Open, is bringing a new drink to the tournament called the Moët Serve.
The serve in question is Moët Ice Impérial with fresh lime, packaged in a very on-theme nod to tennis. It comes in a ball canister that feels more center court than concession stand. The Moët Serve will be available exclusively on US Open grounds and at select bars and restaurants around New York City. Locations include Dante, Electric Lemon, Hard Rock Hotel, The Gansevoort, and St. Regis New York.
So if you’re coming into the city for a match, you can keep the tennis drinking theme going well after you leave Queens. And if you couldn’t snag a US Open ticket, at least you can drink like you did with an on-theme Serve nearby. There’ll be plenty more Moët on-site, too. The Club de Tennis Bar, located in the Food Village, will serve Moët Chandon Impérial Brut, Nectar Impérial Rosé, and the Moët Mimosa in the brand’s signature gold goblet.

No one is saying the Honey Deuce is losing its top seed overnight—it’s iconic for a reason—but between the tennis-ball-canister packaging and the fact that Champagne already feels like a celebration, the Moët Serve is making this year’s drink lineup a lot more interesting. Just how much do we think a Champagne drink in a tennis ball canister will run us these days?
Moët Ice Impérial features a distinctively pale yellow hue and a crisp, dry finish, offering a refreshing profile that stands apart from the sweet raspberry lemonade of its rival. The new canister design mirrors the look of a tennis ball, adding a layer of novelty for attendees seeking unique souvenirs.
Diners at the Hard Rock Hotel and St. Regis New York can also enjoy the Moët Serve, which complements the high-energy atmosphere of the event. The availability extends beyond the tennis complex, ensuring fans in the city can partake in the tradition without needing a court-side seat.
